2005 Pathology Resident In-Service Examination (RISE)

The 2005 RISE will be administered from 9 AM to 5 PM on Monday, 5-9-05, in Room 1201 of Wesley W. Posvar Hall (formerly known as Forbes Quadrangle). Room 1201 is a classroom within the Pitt computing lab (Room 1200) located in Posvar Hall. Use the South Bouquet Street entrance to Posvar Hall. Make an immediate right for the computing lab.

Here is the schedule for Monday, 5-9-05.
8:30 AM - 8:45 AM Report to the Residency Program Office (Room C-901 PUH).
8:45 AM - 9:00 AM Trish and Senth will escort everyone to Posvar Hall.
9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Log-in. Complete profile questions. View demonstration exam, if necessary.
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM RISE: Part 1 Anatomic Pathology (2 hours and 15 minutes)
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Lunch will be provided (pizza and soda). Group photo.
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM RISE: Part 3 Special Topics (1 hour)
2:00 PM - 2:15 PM Break
2:15 PM - 5:15 PM RISE: Part 2 Clinical Pathology (2 hours and 45 minutes)

There is a demonstration exam available, and we encourage you to access it before Monday. Here is the link ( www.ascp.org/member/resident ). Click on RISE and then Demonstration Examination. Good luck on the exam.
